Our Story

The story behind the birth of Joe's Burgers really revolves around one man, Joe, a classically trained chef and longtime restaurateur in Portland, Oregon. Joe harbored a vision of owning a restaurant that simply focused on one thing; an awesome, cooked-to-order burger that was served hot-off-the-grill. A burger, Joe thought, that reminded him of his childhood spent in southern California.

One day in 2010, Joe was approached by the operators of Bridgeport Village mall in Tualatin, Oregon. They had a vacant kiosk available and really wanted a burger joint to complement their mix of restaurants at the mall. They wondered if Joe had any ideas how they could accomplish their goal. With that one conversation, Joe's Burgers was born.

Our Food

We source locally when possible and our service ware is compostable and biodegradable. Our patties are 100% Oregon natural beef raised on a vegetarian diet. Our hot dogs are made fresh, and with natural casings, yielding that "snap" that only a quality dog provides. Our shakes are made from locally made ice cream, hand-scooped and hand-spun using real high-quality flavorings, not imitation.

At Joe's Burgers, your burger doesn't hit the grill until you place your order, so you're always delivered a fresh, hot-off-the-grill burger. Fries are also cooked to order, not left lingering under a heat lamp. Cool iceberg lettuce is torn, not shredded and our thick sliced tomatoes are selected for ripeness then cut by hand. Our Secret Sauce, simple in ingredients yet big on taste, is an important component of our burgers and is made in-house. Our onions are grilled until deeply caramelized. We use American cheese because we like the way it melts and blends with the other ingredients on our burgers. Every detail of our burgers has been painstakingly thought out to create an extraordinary burger that tastes as delicious as it looks.

The birthplace of it all! Situated in just 258 sq. ft. and located directly off of I-5 in Tigard, this location is a walk-up kiosk in Bridgeport Village mall. The menu here is identical to the menu downtown. While this is a walk-up kiosk, our Bridgeport location offers call ahead ordering and a large covered (enclosed & heated seasonally) gazebo area for those that aren't eating on-the-run.

Joe's Burgers & Bar

Our full service version of Joe's Burgers is located on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy. in Raleigh Hills. This location offers table service, a full bar and an expanded menu. Serving as our corporate headquarters and test kitchen, you'll find items on this menu that aren't necessarily on the menus of our other locations. Raleigh Hills is very family-friendly; though it offers a large 21-and-over bar area for those looking for more adult dining experience. Here we also have a large gaming area featuring pool tables and video games as well as "The Trophy Room", which can be booked for private engagements.

Located in the heart of Portland's shopping district, the downtown Joe's Burgers façade takes advantage of the buildings art deco influences, while the interior is decidedly retro modern. You'll be drawn to and greeted at the entrance by a restored 35' vintage neon sign that mimics the architectural cues of the building.

At this location, we offer dine-in, call ahead and take-out options as well as beer and wine for our dine-in guests.
